This panel will span from the practical to the personal. We will relay our experiences as transgender New Yorkers and allies, and describe the range of challenges that transgender people face, from employment discrimination to healthcare access to attaining accurate identification documents.
Educators and organizers from the Empire State Pride Agenda will provide concrete ways that you can work for transgender equality & justice in New York State, and specifically how to join the campaign and be an advocate for the Gender Expression Non-Discrimination Act (GENDA).
We will provide plenty of time for your questions and an interactive and productive dialogue.
