Carin Schiewe is currently a regional field director with USAction, Citizen Action of New York’s national partner. She has been an organizer and leader in the progressive movement for 31 years, starting out as a canvasser and community organizer, then serving for over a decade as the executive director of a state-based community/labor coalition in Massachusetts. Prior to joining the USAction staff, Carin worked as a strategic adviser, facilitator and trainer with a range of progressive organizations and foundations at the state and national level to launch campaigns and initiatives to increase civic engagement, support movement building and advance leadership of color in the electoral arena.
