Eòghann Renfroe is the Transgender Rights Organizer for the Empire State Pride Agenda.
In this capacity, Eòghann organizes grassroots efforts to pass the Gender Expression Non-Discrimination Act and to build support for greater equality and justice for transgender and gender non-conforming residents of New York State.
Before joining the Pride Agenda Eòghann worked for Advancing Wisconsin, a nonprofit advocacy organization where he built support for progressive policies in education, reproductive rights, the environment and more.
He graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a degree in Fine Arts and a focus in New Media, studying community building through the intersection of art and activism. This included developing online-based creative communities and participating in DIY art galleries and community-based art collectives.
Eòghann grew up in Hyde Park, NY, and currently lives in Albany.
