Jasmine Gripper has spent over 5 years working as a teacher. She quickly realized that education policies impacting the classroom are often decided by those who have little to no classroom experience. In order to effect genuine change and address the growing opportunity gap it was time for a career shift. Jasmine moved to Cleveland, OH to work as a Field Organizer for Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign. During this time she developed a passions for grassroots organizing, but wanted to focus on educational issues. Upon moving back to NY she joined the team at the Alliance for Quality Education as the Early Childhood Campaign Coordinator and Statewide Education Advocate. Jasmine is dedicated to educating parents, students, legislators and community members on their power to influence and advance policies that ensure all children in New York State have access to a quality education.
