Maurice has worked in social change and democracy as a student activist, volunteer, and staff member for more than 15 years. Maurice’s work includes deep organizing in local communities as well as statewide and national coalition work. His experience includes electoral and issue-based organizing, leadership development, and communications. He is a native Long Islander, current nomad, and has spent significant time in Washington, DC, Trinidad and Tobago, and Chiapas, Mexico. When not at the table he alternates between training with his Capoeira group and making music.
